Case description
A short catalogue entry places this observation near Talavera in Badajoz during the early hours of 5 November 1974. Civilian and military observers reportedly saw a silent saucer estimated at nine metres across. It was said to respond to car lights, while dogs barked. The abstract does not preserve the order, number or duration of those apparent responses, so a detailed coded exchange cannot be reconstructed.
Hatch’s reference points toward Lumières dans la Nuit and mentions Flying Saucer Review volume 20, number 5. A related humanoid compilation says José María Cravero and another aviator saw an object near Talavera on 5 November, then describes a separate roadside figure seen by Cravero three days later. That later figure cannot automatically become an occupant of the earlier saucer. The underlying magazine chronology also needs checking before the dates are treated as settled.
The supported core here is the reported craft, observers, headlights and barking dogs. No entity appearance is supplied for this dated observation. Nor should it be merged with the better-known Talavera air-base sentry encounter of November 1976 or the official January 1975 radar case. The illustration therefore shows a saucer and contextual roadside observers, with an explicit notice that occupants are undocumented.
