Case description

Giovanna Sensoli’s reported encounter took place while she was tending animals near Castelleale in mid-November 1974. At approximately 17:30, she noticed chickens and rabbits behaving unusually and looking upward. Above her farmhouse she reportedly saw a large, humanlike figure sitting on a small box-shaped platform, rocking slowly back and forth. Later accounts estimate the figure at roughly two metres tall. The visitor was described as heavy-set, in a shiny one-piece outfit bearing green, red, and white markings, with large square-ended boots and a helmet or visor concealing the face. A striped rod projected from the box like a control. Sensoli thought the figure was searching for something or gesturing. A separate bright white light appeared nearby, illuminating the house and coinciding with a sensation of heat. The figure moved eastward, with the light following; some summaries describe circling near a cemetery before disappearance. The fuller account was published years later by Gianfranco Lollino, including in Flying Saucer Review in 1987. Descriptions vary in the light’s relative direction and the final movements. The incident should not be converted into a conventional saucer landing: the unusual reported vehicle was the small airborne box, and the face remained obscured. The plate combines the hovering rider and accompanying light while preserving those limits.

The description places the farm at Case di Mordano while the Atlas uses Castelleale. The distinctive named witness and box-rider scene identify the account. Keep the dossier’s location and late-publication qualification. Later claims of visible eyes or teeth in the narration do not turn the obscured visor into established facial anatomy; this is not a conventional saucer landing.
