Case description
At approximately 8 p.m. on June 26, 1975, a retired resident of Alcorn, near Laguiole in Aveyron, reportedly went outside to look at an approaching storm. The HUMCAT index identifies her as Mlle. M. Maria. In the version attributed to Jean-Claude Bourret, she then noticed a small, very thin humanlike figure emerge from behind a wall near her house and cross the courtyard toward the road.
The figure appeared slightly under five feet tall and moved quickly, seeming to float immediately above the ground. Its appearance was dominated by red and yellow luminosity: Rosales's fuller digest describes clothing made up of shining horizontal lines, while HUMCAT summarizes flame-like colors surrounding it. No facial features were discernible. The woman went to obtain a stick; on returning, she found the courtyard empty. She subsequently reported the same or a similar figure in a nearby field, followed by its disappearance toward woodland.
The cited source is Bourret's Le Nouveau Défi des OVNI, repeated through later catalogues. HUMCAT mentions traces in the meadow but supplies no analysis that identifies their origin. No aerial object or craft was reported, and no departure in a vehicle should be inferred. The plate shows the courtyard phase only, retaining the striped luminosity while leaving the face unresolved.
