Case description
Trevor P., a boy holidaying near Machynlleth, reportedly climbed Wylfa Hill at about 5 p.m. on 22 July 1975. Beyond the ridge he saw a grounded object roughly 40 feet across, with a seven-foot-high metallic base and a transparent hemispherical dome. Large circular lamps were recessed around the base. A plain metallic unit stood inside the dome, flanked by two whitish, translucent, jelly-like forms about seven feet high.
The forms continually changed shape. Hundreds of small white rings, compared with doughnuts, seemed to move inside each one. After approximately 25 seconds a square panel extended from the base and one form began moving down toward the opening. Trevor ran for his father, then returned alone. The panel had closed. The lights flashed faster and adopted surrounding landscape colours until the object apparently blended into the background and disappeared in place. A subsequent visit with his father found neither object nor traces.
HUMCAT cites Collins’s 1978 Flying Saucer Review report and investigators Collins, Barry King and Graham Phillips. Later voice, vision and behavioural difficulties are reported without test results or proof of a UFO-related cause. His father did not corroborate the encounter. The site is near Machynlleth, not Anglesey’s nuclear plant.
