Mossley, Engl abduction report — August 1975

A driver near Mossley, England, reported a close encounter in thick mist during August 1975. The imported digest gives approximately 8:10 p.m., describes a luminous ovoid passing nearby, and mentions missing time. An account summarized from Awareness, spring 1977, dates the sighting to August 31 at about 8 p.m. It describes an anonymous van driver on the A635 near the Greater Manchester–West Yorkshire boundary. After noticing a white glow, he stopped and watched a smooth, pale object move slowly from a roadside field toward the road and then into another field. A dark circular marking was reported underneath, and two sheep reportedly followed it. The magazine account supplies a fuller observation but does not establish the imported missing-time interpretation. The image follows the roadside phase, with the vehicle and landscape reconstructed. Exact dimensions and distance estimates differ in abbreviated retellings and should not be read from the illustration.
