Case description
A man and his girlfriend reportedly encountered a landed disc in the mountains behind Santa Barbara, California, in 1975. The imported catalogue places the experience near State Route 154 at about 9:40 p.m.; a fuller INTCAT entry assigns an approximate June date without specifying a day.
They initially mistook the structure illuminated by their headlights for an ordinary feature of the landscape. The man described a seamless, dull silver-grey disc standing on three supports and said he felt tingling while approaching beneath it. His companion became frightened and urged him to leave. An owl reportedly flew toward their car as they drove away, after which they noticed an unexplained interval.
The bibliography leads to Michael Lindemann's UFOs and the Alien Presence. The timing and significance of the missing interval remain less clear than the reported ground observation. The owl is part of the account, not evidence that an animal transformed into a spacecraft or concealed an occupant.
