Case description
The Quercianella entry is an unusually brief Italian report assigned to August 1976, without a recovered exact date or time. Maurizio Verga’s ITACAT is the source attributed by the later humanoid catalogue. The available synopsis concerns one man observing an object on the ground, partly concealed by vegetation, rather than a documented crash recovery or a military investigation.
The observer described an elongated, apparently transparent cigar-shaped object that reminded him of a military gunship. Through it he thought he could see one man in grey military-style overalls working inside. His movements suggested an effort to put out a fire, but that was the observer’s interpretation; the short report does not establish visible flames, a fire extinguisher, a damaged engine or the cause of the activity.
No reliable facial description, dialogue, size estimate, photograph or subsequent departure is preserved in the retrieved synopsis. The illustration brings a representative male witness, the complete elongated form and the single ordinary-looking occupant into one view while retaining brush across part of the hull. It avoids turning the gunship comparison into a specific aircraft model, adding weaponry, or depicting a dramatic wreck. The transparent structure and clothing remain approximations of a sparse catalogue account.
