Stockport, Engl being encounter — August 1976

An August 1976 account from North Reddish, Stockport, concerns three children: a brother and sister and another boy. The boys initially noticed a flash of silver and an unusual figure near wasteground. The sister, Susan, later saw a man outside their hut while preparing drinks. He appeared normally proportioned but unusually pale, with long yellowish hair, a short grey beard and eyes described as cat-shaped. His silver one-piece outfit reportedly had buttons down the front, matching gloves and boots with thick black soles. The children described him scraping soil with a small shovel and placing it in transparent bags. After disappearing from one position, he was reportedly seen again near the fence of a newly built primary school, continuing the same activity. He then seemed to sink or vanish into the ground. A dark metallic disc subsequently rose from the schoolyard. It was described with a curved top, flat underside and four dark openings around its upper portion before departing. These are reported phases of a story, not proof that the soil collector entered the object. Later retellings identify the witnesses as three children; the imported shorthand “1+3 kids” should not be expanded into an additional adult witness. No recovered specimen or demonstrated extraterrestrial identity is established by the retrieved account.
