Regal, MN being encounter — September 22, 1976

Ten-year-old Rodney Hedtke reported an encounter at his Regal, Minnesota, home around 10:30 p.m. on 22 September 1976. While preparing for bed in his second-floor room, he heard tapping at the window. Outside, crouched on the roof, he described a green figure three to three-and-a-half feet tall, with a very large bald head, enormous red eyes, no nose, a small lipless mouth and long arms ending in small hands. Rodney watched for nearly a minute. The figure then turned, walked to the roof’s edge and floated to the ground. It looked back toward him before approaching a square grey object in the yard. In the sheriff’s report preserved by HUMCAT, that object was estimated at twelve feet square and seven feet high, with pulsating red-orange corner lights and yellow interior illumination. A ramp rolled from a hatch; the figure entered and the object glowed red before ascending silently. Rodney’s mother returned approximately two hours later and reported dim lights, television trouble and blown fuses.
