Case description
Florida Malboeuf, fifty-eight, reported watching an unusual object from her Montreal window during the early hours of January 6, 1977. Published accounts place the time around 1:15–1:30 a.m., rather than establishing a precise minute. She described a silver-grey, oyster-shaped object with bright white lights near its base, approaching the three-storey building opposite.
The craft became partly hidden by the roof. Two very tall, thin figures reportedly appeared at the roof’s edge, wearing pale close-fitting outfits and cap-like head coverings. Their facial features were not resolved. They looked towards the street and sky before retreating; the object subsequently rose into view and departed. The illustration combines those successive stages in an elevated contextual view, rather than reproducing her exact sightline.
Her son André later inspected the roof and reported circular ice patches and small narrow impressions. Journalists, local UFO investigators and police officers taking a personal interest followed up. Descriptions and dimensions vary across publications, and the traces do not by themselves identify their maker. Other reported lights over Montreal were not independent observations of these figures. The account remains a witness claim with a documented press and investigative history.
