Prospect, KY abduction report — January 27, 1977

Lee Parrish, nineteen, was driving his Jeep near Prospect, Kentucky, early on January 27, 1977, when he saw a bright rectangular object above the roadside trees. His radio stopped working. After arriving home, he found his eyes painful and bloodshot and realized the short journey had taken substantially longer than expected. In later hypnotic recollections, Parrish described being removed from the Jeep and brought into a circular room. Three machine-like forms stood before him: a large black figure, a red rectangular one and a pale central form. He described touches producing hot, cold and stinging sensations, followed by a return to the vehicle. APRO became involved in the investigation. The roadside sighting, the discovery of the missing interval and the subsequent recalled interior are separate stages of the account; the strange forms belong to that later recollection.
