Case description
The imported label Prestfoss refers to a witness's home locality. The reported landing occurred near Alm School in Åsbygda, outside Hønefoss, Norway. Two fourteen-year-old pupils, Johnny Myhr and Frank Sverre Mandt, said they saw an object approach from the north and land on a newly ploughed field near the sports ground, about a hundred metres from the school.
They described a light-green object with windows and three supports. A humanlike contour appeared behind one window, but they could not give detailed features. After roughly ten seconds it rose and disappeared over the hillside. A school employee later reported a bright object in the same general area; that later light sighting should not be treated as another observation of the occupant.
The APRO Bulletin gives November 1, 1977, whereas the Nordic UFO Newsletter and a later Norwegian account use October 25. Investigators photographed ground impressions, collected soil and reported acidity differences; a radiation check did not show unusual activity. Those measurements do not identify what made the marks. The plate uses autumn1977 and the actual school-area locality, showing the two boys, a window silhouette and the three-supported object without invented alien facial details.
