Ms. Robinson reported seeing a wedge-shaped object while riding a motorcycle on East Coast Bays Road, North Shore, Auckland, at approximately 8:30 p.m. on April 2,1978. According to the summary preserved by Australian researcher Keith Basterfield, the lighted object stopped roughly two hundred metres away. She said two figures were clearly visible looking toward her from inside the object. Only their upper bodies could be seen, and their dark clothing was compared to robes. The available narrative does not establish their full height, lower-body clothing or a detailed facial appearance. After several minutes a car appeared and the object moved away. No conversation, external approach by an occupant or direct physical contact is described. Basterfield cited the Auckland Star of April 3, giving the account a near-contemporary newspaper trail. Later catalogues repeat it, sometimes changing the witness's gender, calling the object a disc, or shortening the duration to a few seconds. Those changes are not additional corroboration. The inherited physiological and vehicle-effect classifications do not supply a documented motorcycle failure in the fuller recoverable account. The case remains a single reported observation of a lighted wedge and apparent occupants, with the craft's construction and figures' identities unresolved.
