Dayboro, Aus being encounter — April 7, 1978

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on 7 April 1978, a hunter near Dayboro, Queensland, reportedly saw two small humanlike figures after his car became bogged. The available account places them about one hundred metres away. Both were approximately 1.2 metres tall and wore white jumpsuits. The figures looked toward the man, and he left the area. The surviving summary provides no close approach, speech, detailed facial features or explanation of how they arrived or departed. At that distance, their clothing and estimated size are more securely represented by the account than any particular extraterrestrial anatomy. No spacecraft was reported. A significant distinction is that the vehicle was described as bogged, whereas the imported shorthand has encouraged an electromagnetic-interference interpretation. A car stuck in soft ground is not evidence of an electrical failure caused by the figures. The report therefore remains a brief, source-limited sighting of two white-clad, humanlike figures, with their identities unresolved and no documented craft association.
