Constantina Imbibo, a twenty-six-year-old married woman at Villammare di Sapri, reported several unusual experiences during 1978. Maurizio Verga’s account in Lumières dans la Nuit 207 traces them to an investigation associated with Il Mattino Illustrato of January 27, 1979. The April 25 episode should remain distinct from her March objects and June grass-mark claims.
She said an orange sphere, initially comparable to the trees in size, became progressively smaller. An attempt to photograph it failed. When it was about 1.5 metres across, a short, hunched figure in orange clothing and darker orange boots appeared. Its face seemed human and its head had a conical feature. It looked around and moved in small hops. She called her husband when it approached; the earlier version places its disappearance behind a truck amid slight fog, whereas later retellings substitute a tree stump.
The husband’s separate testimony and the original newspaper investigation were not recovered. Later catalogues also supply an afternoon time absent from the reproduced earlier passage. The plate combines the woman, orange-clothed humanlike figure and shrinking sphere as a labelled sequence reconstruction. The report does not establish an alien identity, successful photograph or independently verified disappearance.
Film agrees with earlier truck/fog version rather than later tree-stump variant; film black boots differ from darker-orange source wording. March/June sightings are separate, and failed photo is not physical corroboration.
