A Soviet Army officer reported meeting two figures near Lake Pyrogovskoye in late May or early June 1978. Nikita Schnee published the account in Flying Saucer Review in March 1981. The officer said he felt himself taken by the arms and perceived a request to talk without hearing ordinary speech. The figures wore dull, cellophane-like garments.
His next recollection was a brightly lit, domed room. The occupants sat at a table, with screens and button-covered equipment farther away. He asked to celebrate their meeting with a drink. They supplied a salty, lemonade-like liquid, and the conversation developed into an exchange about alcohol and their civilisation.
The officer asked why they did not intervene in Earth's problems. He understood their answer as a policy of observing without interference. At the end, one figure attempted to erase his memory but said that the equipment could not isolate the relevant activity.
He then found himself back at the original spot. Although the conversation had seemed lengthy, only moments appeared to have passed. He told his wife and later co-workers. The source preserves his account of an extended conversation and altered sense of time, without a detailed external description of the craft.

Includes a dedicated component on the Soviet officer’s late May/early June 1978 Pyrogovskoye account. Descriptions of the conversation remain reported claims. Original FSR leaves officer unnamed and dates late May/early June 1978. Film calls him Anatoly Malyshev and inserts flight demonstration, Moon/planet journey and hypnosis/polygraph claims absent from that article. Those additions are unverified and must remain distinct from the officer's documented source account. FSR's sensitives/biolocation investigation is a reported subjective method, not independent proof of contact.
