Case description

Two people traveling by car south of Alamo, Nevada, reportedly encountered a descending disc near U.S. Route 93 at about 3:20 a.m. on May 21, 1978. The surviving Hatch abstract estimates its width at thirty-five feet and records large markings rendered as Tle on the side. It says that the object subsequently went north. The same compressed entry associates the episode with trouble affecting watches, the death of a dog, and later men-in-black material. It does not preserve named witnesses, a complete account of the dog's condition, an examination, or the order and timing of those later claims. Its humanlike-being classification may relate to the men-in-black reference; it does not supply an occupant's appearance at the craft. The provenance also contains a HOX flag. That is a material caution in the historical database, but the accessible abstract does not give a confession, investigator's reasoning, or physical demonstration that would establish how a hoax was made. The cited International UFO Reporter item needs recovery before a firm finding can be explained. The plate is marked Disputed Catalogue Report and depicts only the roadside observers and marked disc. It adds neither a deceased animal nor invented extraterrestrial occupants.
