Case description
A detailed report places this classroom encounter in Loreto, Santiago del Estero, on a Saturday in January 1979, possibly January 13. Twelve-year-old Marcos Rafael Suárez was in the school where his father worked as porter. Around 11:30 a.m., he heard a box fall and turned to see a rectangular, aluminium-coloured machine hovering just above the floor.
The object had an upper dark screen, a lamp and side openings. Two small figures emerged in the fuller account, rather than the catalogue’s three. They wore shiny black coveralls, helmets with dark eye bands and bottle-like packs. Suárez said one took his arm while a voice instructed him to sit. The other went toward an adjoining room.
He reported being unable to move, a powerful reddish light and a lapse in awareness. When he recovered, the machine and figures were gone and a sulphurous smell remained. His sister and father encountered him afterward; his father sought medical attention and reported the story to police. The published account proposes hypnosis as a possible future inquiry but describes no completed regression. The plate shows the initial classroom observation, with the child safely apart from the figures.
