Case description

At about 8 p.m. during January 1979, an observer at Fazenda Cacaruaba in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, reportedly encountered a cylindrical object about twenty-five feet long. The account describes an open doorway and two human-looking figures inside. The observer said that an upward pull occurred repeatedly, recorded in the catalogue as five attempts. The entry also associates the episode with a sensation described as hot oil and subsequent illness. It does not explain whether an actual liquid was observed or whether the phrase described the feeling on the person’s body. The witness’s name, the precise date and a continuous account of the ending are not preserved. No completed journey inside the cylinder is described in the available digest.

Case begins 0:49. Video locates it near Santa Cruz, Rio Grande do Norte, early January 1979; Atlas digest says Fazenda Cacaruaba, January 1979, about 20:00. Dimensions vary: digest 25-foot length; video 6–7m height and 3–4m diameter. Repeated pulling is an alleged attempted taking, with no boarding. The hot-oil claim is disputed within the video: a researcher proposes melted carnauba-palm wax. Witness-name spellings in automatic captions are uncertain.
