Czluchow, Poland being encounter — August 10, 1979

Reports collected around Człuchów on August 10, 1979, describe a dark rectangular object moving low over a lake near a wooded tourist area. The imported ledger gives about 4 p.m., while later retellings place an episode in the evening. One detailed catalogue describes an object roughly eight metres long, with rounded edges, a pale green glow and three orange circular features. Separate witnesses reportedly encountered two figures heading toward the woods or gliding across marshy ground. Their dark, diving-suit-like clothing enclosed their bodies except for glass-like areas at eye level. Wide hips and a conspicuous hump near the back of the neck were repeatedly emphasized. In one version a man approached with two dogs; the animals ran forward but stopped and returned after the figures faced them. The figures then disappeared toward the forest. A rectangular light-emitting object is described in a subsequent search. Bronisław Rzepecki’s 1988 Flying Saucer Review report and later compilations preserve differing witnesses, times and sequences, so these should not be flattened into one continuous observation. Later dog-health allegations were not independently verified in the consulted material. One online account abruptly adds a disc and silver-suited occupants; that inconsistent passage is excluded from this reconstruction. The plate combines the lakeshore reports while retaining their characteristic dark suits and rectangular object.
