Case description
Two campers south of Ashland reportedly saw white beams descending beside their tents around 9 p.m. on 11 August 1979. Moments later, several small translucent humanoid forms allegedly entered the tents and observed the occupants. The brief account gives no names, spoken exchange, detailed anatomy or explanation of what made the figures translucent. Its language suggests close observation, but not a documented medical procedure.
The source trail leads to UFO Newsclipping Service number 309, and later humanoid compilations reproduce essentially the same short account. The preserved material does not identify a solid craft above the beams, describe a landing or explain how the figures eventually left. Nor does it supply a specific injury, despite physiological-effects coding in the imported database. Those omissions should not be replaced by a conventional abduction sequence.
The Atlas retains the reported beams, tents, two witnesses and translucent figures while leaving the source of the light unresolved. A generic opaque grey with black eyes would add facial detail absent from the account. The illustration consequently uses indistinct, semitransparent humanlike forms and a contextual Oregon campsite, without an invented saucer or an invasive examination. The original clipping and any named witness interview remain important research targets.
