Sion-Les-Mines, FR abduction report — December 4, 1979

At Sion-les-Mines, France, on December 4, 1979, an observer travelling in a car reported seeing a red sphere approximately 2.5 metres across. The unusual account concerned the sphere’s interaction with another car ahead or nearby, rather than a visible occupant approaching the witness. The red form reportedly engulfed that vehicle, which then vanished from view. The sphere subsequently followed the observer’s separate car. The digest does not identify the people in the first vehicle or describe a conversation, an interior or any figures within the luminous form. The account’s retained sequence is the red sphere, the disappearance of a car within it and its movement after the second vehicle. The fate of the first car and its occupants is not supplied in the surviving brief.
