Case description
At about 5:30 p.m. on November 1, 1980, two motorists near Hovsta, north of Örebro, reported a close observation of an oval, metallic-looking object. The AFU-linked catalogue summary places it approximately twelve metres away, descending or hovering above the road. A large opening or window revealed two figures moving back and forth inside.
The vehicle reportedly stalled and shook during the episode. In a later Rosales-derived retelling, the object first circled above the area and displayed two white lights. The electrical failure and vibration occurred after the occupants of the car attempted to drive away; they could not see the object during the strongest shaking. They interpreted it as being overhead.
That fuller version also reports pressure in one witness’s head, followed by the return of normal vehicle operation and the object’s departure toward the Kilsbergen hills. The source trail cites AFU Newsletter22, published in 1981. The visible occupants remain poorly described: movements and dark figures in an opening do not establish faces, species or clothing. The Atlas therefore retains the reported figures and vehicle effects without turning the uncertain view into a detailed alien identification.
