On the morning of 25 July 1981, Hjørdis Hokstad was at her kitchen table in Lånke near Stjørdal, Norway, watching deer in a field approximately two hundred meters from her home. The contemporary Norwegian UFO Center report says she noticed sunlight reflecting from a metallic object and examined it with binoculars. The catalogue's geographic grouping misleadingly includes Finland; the observation belongs in Norway's Trøndelag region.
Hokstad described the object moving along the ground near the edge of an aspen wood, with a small manlike figure behind it. The figure appeared to wear a suit with a hood and moved oddly. She initially found the scene amusing and only later interpreted it as anomalous. The object reportedly jumped upward a few meters before moving away toward the northeast, retaining an upright orientation. The overall observation lasted about fifteen minutes.
Investigators visited two days afterward, reported no ground traces and obtained no abnormal Geiger-counter readings. Inquiries at Værnes produced no corresponding visual or radar observation. A balloon explanation was considered, but Hokstad rejected it on the basis of her binocular view. The hooded figure emerged in follow-up discussion rather than as a separately corroborated encounter. Facial details are not given, and the source does not justify replacing the figure with a stereotyped gray alien or claiming an independently verified landing.

WHEN UFOS LAND AND HUMANOIDS COME OUT: TEN TRUE CASES
Exact witness/place/date identity, but narrative qualifications are essential: contemporary Norwegian UFO Center report/current dossier records no ground traces and no independent corroboration of figure. Film’s blackened shrubs/crushed vegetation, neighbor watching landing and animal reactions are secondary additions, not established by contemporary account. No confirmed landing or claim Finland is correct.
