Les Angles, FR abduction report — September 1981

A motorist near Les Angles in the Gard department of France reported an unusual disappearance in September 1981, at about 7:30 p.m. Another car was travelling immediately ahead when a sudden bank of fog obscured the view. When the fog lifted, the vehicle ahead was gone. The witness said there were no turnoffs where it could have left the road. That apparent absence of an ordinary exit was the central puzzle in the report. The account was indexed through Lumières dans la Nuit. The surviving synopsis gives neither the identity of the other driver nor a subsequent search or explanation. It does not describe occupants, an aerial object, a beam or anyone being carried away. The known sequence ends with the witness finding the road ahead empty.
