Case description

The Praglia account is dated 8 November 1981, around 3 p.m. Six boys were said to be riding dirt bikes near a lake when one fell and struck his head. Two companions went to assist him. They then reportedly saw a bright green light descend toward the lake, within which a grey metallic, oval-shaped object became visible. The imported summary estimates it at 15 metres long and roughly that distance away. The object reportedly settled on telescopic legs and an opening appeared. A tall figure emerged wearing a loose silver-coloured outfit. Its distinctive reported features were very long arms, oval feet, little or no visible neck and a triangular head with ordinary-looking eyes. With its arms raised, it appeared to walk across the surface of the water, then returned to the object. The craft reportedly accelerated away and disturbed the lake beneath it. Later compilations attribute the story to Maurizio Verga's ITACAT. Although six boys formed the group, the fuller sequence focuses on three near the fallen rider; the surviving summary does not establish equally detailed observations by all six. Hatch's underlying record carries a hoax flag, but the checked sources did not supply the investigation or confession behind that designation. The plate illustrates the disputed account without presenting that flag as a recovered confession.
