An anonymous woman near Sospel reportedly awoke around two in the morning on 30 April 1983 to a red ball of light in her bedroom. In the account investigated by Marc Tolosano, the light vanished and four tall, athletic humanlike figures appeared. They had long pale faces, narrow noses and mouths, elongated blue eyes and close-fitting head coverings. They spoke French and claimed familiarity with earthly languages.
The woman said she felt unusually passive and sluggish and could not wake her husband. Outside, other figures held black spheres while she watched images presented as scenes from human history. After further interaction inside, the visitors announced their departure around four o’clock. She then described a dark oval object about fifteen metres long nearby, with a lit opening and a gangway. The beings entered it, and it departed with a faint whistle.
The source chain runs through LDLN 299 and Flying Saucer Review 35/2. A later account attributed to Jean Sider changes the time, figure count and some visual details, so the versions are not interchangeable. The episode rests on the woman’s testimony and contains waking-from-sleep and altered-state elements; no explanation is established. The plate follows the four-figure version and labels its combined view of the visitors and later-seen craft as sequential.
