Terennganu State, Malaysia being encounter — July 28, 1986

Several residents of Terengganu, Malaysia, reportedly saw a luminous sphere descend toward a field opposite their homes at about 9 p.m. in July 1986. The Atlas dates the event July 28; Peter Rogerson’s INTCAT chronology gives July 27 and the locality spelling Kerten. The month is secure across these summaries, while the exact day remains inconsistent. The fuller catalogue describes the sphere as roughly 90 centimetres to 1.2 metres across. A figure about 90 centimetres tall was said to emerge and walk around the field for several minutes before returning. The sphere then departed, followed by a smaller white sphere. Unusual footprints were subsequently reported, with intervals of approximately 1.8 and 3 metres. INTCAT cites Flying Saucer Review, volume 32, number 3, page 27, and an investigation attributed to L. Blundell. The accessible account does not give the residents’ names, a detailed description of the figure’s face or clothing, or a laboratory assessment of the alleged traces. Those gaps matter: a short figure is not sufficient evidence for a particular alien type. The plate therefore keeps the occupant indistinct beside a small luminous sphere and uses a July-only title.
