One evening in autumn 1986, a young electrician identified as Fernando was travelling by motorcycle outside Culleredo, Galicia, when he saw unusual objects overhead. As one approached, he tried to restart the motorcycle and leave, but the engine would not operate.
He described a triangular or angular craft lowering close to the ground. Two small figures appeared in a beam of light and took him aboard. Fernando recalled being placed on a table under a bright light while the figures examined him.
He then fell asleep or lost awareness. His next recollection was of lying beside his motorcycle, with the object and figures gone. He returned home and noticed an unusual mark on his body. Accounts put the unexplained interval at approximately two to three hours, rather than establishing one precise duration.
The published account identifies him only by his first name, Fernando.
Season rather than precise October day supported. Film gives three-to-four hours while Atlas preserves about two-to-three variants. Fernando's consciously reported onboard recollection is distinguished from hypnosis-derived stories elsewhere in film; puncture mark is unverified associated observation.
