Near Haslev, Dk being encounter — October 15, 1987

An anonymous motorist near Førslev, between Haslev and Næstved, described seeing a person standing in a rain-soaked field shortly after midnight on 15 October 1987. The report reached Dagbladet in an unsigned letter and was reproduced by SUFOI. The original Danish accounts give 00:30, rather than the 03:00 time preserved in the Atlas. About a hundred metres farther along, the motorist saw a large shining ball of light in the field. It moved slowly toward the person as the car passed. The witness got out and continued watching; the light appeared larger again, while another very large red light remained stationary farther back. The red light then rose in an arc and disappeared at exceptional speed. No sound was reported. The motorist felt unsettled and wondered why anyone was standing outside in such weather. SUFOI initially presented the letter as preliminary information and sought additional details or witnesses. The writer reported seeing no other passing motorists. Nothing in this particular account describes the person’s anatomy, clothing or age, and it should not inherit the unusual boy’s appearance from separate Danish reports later in 1987. The plate therefore preserves an unidentified ordinary human silhouette, a bright approaching sphere and a more distant red light, without inventing occupants or a structured spacecraft.
