Case description
Four eleven-year-old girls reportedly encountered an unusual light and a face during a slumber party in Redmond, Washington, on June 24, 1988. A reproduced investigation account places them in a downstairs television room on Education Hill while other members of the household slept upstairs. They were looking outside for the family's dog when the observation began.
The time is given as between approximately 12:30 and 2 a.m., rather than one securely measured instant. The account distinguishes a shorter observation of an aerial object from a longer interval that included the reported face. It names Donald Johnson, Don Olson, and Rita Andreeva as investigators and identifies the UFO Information Service as the initial source.
The compressed Hatch entry calls this an apparent abduction scenario, but that label should not replace a documented sequence of events. This record does not establish that all four children were taken or examined. The plate is an illustration of the reported observation, not an evidentiary photograph or a likeness of the girls.
