Niva, Hornbaek, Dk being encounter — September 28, 1988

An anonymous woman later reported a strange roadside observation in Nivå, Denmark, while returning to Hornbæk on a rainy night in September 1988. The usual catalogue date is 28 September at about 23:30. She contacted SUFOI only in December 1993, and the account appeared in UFO-Nyt and its English newsletter. The delayed reporting is relevant to the precision of a brief remembered view. Her headlights illuminated two figures only about fifty to fifty-five centimetres tall beside a drain. They seemed to gesture toward one another. Their olive-green coverings had horizontal ridges, broad shoulders, narrow joints and disproportionately large oval heads ending in pointed chins. She distinguished no eyes, nose or mouth; hands were described as a finger and thumb. She drove toward a side road to turn around, then felt afraid and continued home. No craft was seen. Investigators Toke Haunstrup and Karin Frost regarded her account as sincere but lacked enough information for an identification. Their site visit raised a problem about the drain's position and the view she should have had while turning. Poor light, rain and ordinary rainwear were considered possible contributors to a misperception, without proving that explanation. The plate follows her reported ridged figures and avoids importing familiar Gray eyes or a saucer. Likenesses and road layout remain approximate, and the visual reconstruction does not turn an uncertain identification into confirmed extraterrestrial visitors.
