Case description
Several witnesses in Kharovsk, Vologda region, reportedly saw a low-flying illuminated object on April 24,1989, at about 10:45 p.m. The named observers include fifty-three-year-old A. D. Golovatskaya. English-language catalogues also spell the town Charovsk. The object was described as elongated, green and apparently transparent or crystalline, with a blunt front and a fish-like tail.
Through its surface, witnesses believed they could see four figures in close-fitting silvery uniforms. Two were toward the front, apparently operating controls, and two were farther back. The object reportedly passed over rooftops without an audible engine sound. The inherited twelve-metre measurement is an estimate from the catalogue tradition, not a surveyed physical dimension. The available narrative does not describe the occupants leaving the craft or speaking to the people below.
A separate Kharovsk report on May 27 describes an unusual object and a brief car-electrical failure. It should not be treated as an effect documented during the April 24 occupant sighting. Reports from nearby Konantsevo in June are also distinct. The April account is preserved in a chronology citing V.D.Musinskiy in Flying Saucer Review 35/3, through Albert Rosales's catalogue. Its publication trail records an occupant claim, while the object's identity and apparent interior remain unconfirmed.
