Case description
During July 1989, at about 3 p.m., an unnamed fisherman reportedly encountered a group of small figures beside a mangrove channel in the Lajas area of Puerto Rico. The imported ledger places the event broadly at La Parguera/Lajas; a fuller matching catalogue entry names La Pitahaya and credits Jorge Martín's contribution to Timothy Good's Alien Update.
The fisherman said the figures were walking through shore vegetation. They were approximately three and a half feet tall, very thin and alike in appearance, with pale complexions, large egg-shaped heads, elongated black eyes and small noses. Their outfits appeared tight-fitting and silvery grey. They initially seemed curious about him, but ran into the brush when he tried to approach and were lost from sight.
No exact day, witness name, group size, distance, conversation or physical evidence is supplied in the recovered account. No craft appears in this particular sequence. Other 1989 Puerto Rican fishing and diving stories include different witnesses and alleged underwater objects; those details should not be attached to this brief mangrove encounter merely because they share a region and month. The illustration uses three representative figures, explicitly avoiding a claim that three was the recorded number.
