Case description

Two soldiers at Kecskemét air base reportedly saw a small luminous-green figure during Hungary's 1989 UFO wave. Hatch assigns October; a November 14 NZPA-Reuter clipping describes earlier pilot sightings in the previous month and the ground episode days afterward. Some later humanoid catalogues instead use November 13, leaving the precise event date unresolved. The soldiers allegedly saw a fluorescent-green figure about 1.2 metres tall move around a parked aircraft, raise an arm and disappear within seconds into an upward cone or tunnel of light. The account supplies no reliable facial anatomy or clothing details. A reddish deposit was claimed afterward. The same contemporary dispatch quoted deputy defence minister János Stock identifying it as synthetic resin used to repair pavements, a material explanation that should accompany the extraordinary interpretation. Pilots' preceding reports concerned an orange sphere during training flights, with no radar return. Those separate observations were not a witnessed arrival for the figure. The aircraft it allegedly examined was an ordinary military plane, not its spacecraft. The retrieved evidence is a newspaper-and-book reporting chain, without named sentry statements, flight logs or authenticated images. The plate therefore depicts the soldiers, parked jet and claimed light-cone episode together, leaving the figure's finer features uncertain.

The retelling uses November 13, 1989; source chronologies also use October. Contemporary reporting identified the alleged reddish deposit as synthetic resin for pavement repairs, an explanation omitted here. The preceding pilots’ sphere reports were separate observations, not a witnessed arrival for the figure.
