Case description
One night in April 1990, an officer guarding the radar-aerostat installation near Lajas reportedly noticed what appeared to be children on its concrete anchoring platform. According to Jorge Martin’s account, he approached in his patrol car and turned the spotlight toward them. He then described several greyish figures approximately three to four feet tall with large heads.
The figures allegedly ran in different directions. The officer radioed for assistance, repeating a 1050 code, but the figures had disappeared before reinforcements arrived. A subsequent search reportedly found nothing. Martin said he confidentially interviewed an officer involved. The account does not provide names, an exact day, a verified duty log, detailed faces, clothing or an independently documented identification.
The platform belonged to a conventional radar blimp; it was not described as the visitors’ craft. Martin separately recounted a top-shaped object with a golden aura seen by other police several days later, followed by a reported ground circle. Those later claims should not be inserted into the April platform scene. The native 23:00 time is approximate database information; the fuller narrative says only that it happened at night. The episode remains an attributed allegation from Martin’s regional reporting.
