Petrograd, Russia abduction report — June 17, 1990

At about 1 a.m. on June 17, 1990, a witness in the city catalogued as Petrograd, Russia, noticed that a street was unusually deserted. Four unfamiliar men wearing helmets appeared in the subsequent account. The experience included an unexplained interval of time. The witness also said that an alternative explanation or cover story had been supplied for what happened. The digest does not preserve the wording of that explanation or identify which figure communicated it. The report is referenced to Timothy Good's The UFO Report 1992. The surviving abstract does not describe a craft, the men's faces or clothing beyond the helmets, the events during the missing interval or the final departure. Its known sequence is the empty street, encounter with four figures and the later awareness of missing time and an imposed explanation.
