Pomona, Qld, Aus being encounter — October 22, 1990

A woman in Pomona, Queensland, reported an unusual aerial object on October 22, 1990, while feeding birds in her garden. The original UFO Research Australia newsletter entry, UFORA 90104, gives 5:45 p.m.; the imported catalogue gives 5:50. She was facing south when she became aware of a silver object with a pencil-like outline. It moved steadily and slowly from north to south in a straight line. The sky was clear, and she heard no associated sound. She went to the telephone to ask someone else to look, but said the dial tone took an unusually long time to appear. She also noticed that her television had no sound at that time. The newsletter attributes the report to UFORQLD’s Gympie branch. It does not describe an occupant, a humanoid in the garden, a landing or a close approach to the house. The imported “figure/entity” tag should not supply a being missing from the actual report. The telephone and television observations establish a reported coincidence, without technical measurements demonstrating interference caused by the object. The plate therefore shows the garden witness, birds and distant pencil-shaped object, with no invented alien figure.
