Case description
Around 10 p.m. on August 13, 1991, resident Roberto Pérez and staff Miguel Ángel Dionisio, Fidel René and Carlos Gabirondo reported unusual lights from the Hogar General San Martín outside Victoria, Entre Ríos. This timing comes from Roberto Banchs's fuller interviews and differs from the imported 6 p.m. entry. They described two distant lights moving before a strong glow appeared near the junction of Route 11 and the home's access road.
Their interpretations diverged. Pérez said he saw two complete dark silhouettes moving above the road and a whitish, pot-like object when the glare diminished. The staff described only two pairs of trousered legs or lower-body shapes, inferred from walking-like movement. They did not all report a metallic craft. A truck passed during the sequence, and the light disappeared; the complete observation was estimated at several minutes. Searches that night and the following day reportedly found no traces.
Banchs measured approximately 265 metres between the road and viewing position and questioned whether the claimed detail was discernible. He considered headlights or reflection possible but did not establish an identification. The witnesses' disagreements and the surrounding publicity prevent treating this as four matching descriptions of landed occupants. Gabirondo's later death followed organ-donation surgery; the investigation explicitly rejected attempts to attribute it to the sighting.
