Muizenburg, Rsa being encounter — April 1993

UFO AFRINEWS No.9 preserves Pam Puxley’s interview with Sandra about an April 1993 incident at Muizenberg. Sandra and her friend Mark were walking dogs near the vlei outlet to the sea around eleven at night. In cold, windy weather they noticed a brilliant white light toward Hangklip, initially stationary before making rapid vertical and sideways movements. A narrow, translucent beam reportedly illuminated a point on the water. The light suddenly approached. Sandra ran toward bathing boxes while Mark remained behind. It withdrew, then traveled toward the airport. She compared its appearance to a Frisbee viewed from the side, without describing resolved metallic construction. After its departure, Sandra returned to Mark and noticed an ordinary-looking man standing thigh-deep in the flowing outlet. He wore a jacket and trousers but was barefoot, without fishing equipment. Expressionless, he walked out and disappeared from view. No connection between the man and light was observed. Puxley interviewed Sandra, while Mark was overseas and had not yet supplied his own testimony. His reported aviation experience and Sandra’s puzzlement belong to the account; they do not independently identify either the light or the stranger.
