Arad, Romania being encounter — June 20, 1994

The Romanian investigation group ASFAN connects this Arad report with a sequence of crop markings and a later shepherd’s sighting. Its account says engineer Liviu Deznan and other workers noticed flattened formations near a silo on June 23, 1994. The markings included a central circle, an outer ring, and additional elliptical areas. They therefore preceded the reported close encounter. According to that chronology, former tractor driver and sheepfold watchman Traian Crișan saw the object at dawn on June 27. A violent disturbance of air affected the sheepfold. He described a bright round disc with a transparent dome hovering above the field, with two bearded, humanlike figures displaying slanting eyes at an opening and additional heads visible inside. After roughly two minutes, the object rose and disappeared. Other local people reported the disturbance or related observations, but should not all be counted as witnesses to the occupants. ASFAN records subsequent examinations of the site and samples, including checks that found no abnormal radiation or magnetic effect. The imported Hatch entry dates the encounter June 20; other retellings also vary the height and order of events. The source chronology should remain visible: the reported craft was not observed making the previously discovered formations. The association between the crop marks and the sighting is an investigative interpretation.
