Stensved, Dk being encounter — November 14, 1994

The Stensved account covers two successive nights in November 1994. SUFOI’s later review describes a man who had just gone to bed when he noticed an unexpected searchlight-like glow in or behind an orchard, an estimated one to two hundred meters away. About ten minutes later, a figure in a dark, close-covering outfit ran past the garden, roughly five meters from his window. On the following night he heard scraping against the roof. Opening the curtain, he saw an intensely bright, circular patch of light on the patio immediately outside. It was about one meter across and faded after four or five seconds. The next morning he noticed two dark streaks down the comparatively new roof. Samples of the streaks were analyzed. SUFOI reports that the material appeared biological, possibly a temporary growth of spores associated with rain washing bird droppings down the surface. This supplied an ordinary explanation for the physical residue without establishing what caused the other observations. The organization explicitly cautioned against automatically linking the runner, remote light, roof noise and streaks. No craft or departure by the figure was described; the Atlas’s November 14 date is more precise than this later review.
