Tiete', Brz being encounter — December 11, 1994

At about 11 p.m. on December 11,1994, Osvaldo Siqueira Franco and Antonio Luiz Nitrini Júnior were reportedly talking outside a home in Tietê, São Paulo. Antonio noticed a green circular object descending near eucalyptus trees. Osvaldo obtained a flashlight and said he could also distinguish yellow and blue lights on the object. Hearing movement and whisper-like sounds in the vegetation, they reportedly saw two small figures, approximately 1.2 metres tall. The Brazilian account describes pale bodies, large heads and eyes, small nasal openings, thin mouths, long arms and four fingers. The flashlight then went out, and the frightened pair ran home. Osvaldo brought his brother Jairo back to the area. Jairo initially interpreted something on the grass as plastic; it then rose, and the three again fled, believing they had seen a figure. Thus three witnesses participated in stages, rather than three independently describing every part of the first encounter. Later regional sightings were discussed as a small wave, but should not be merged with this incident. The inherited catalogue also mentions crushed grass; the fuller narrative examined does not establish a controlled trace analysis. The flashlight failure, object and beings remain reported observations without an independently demonstrated causal connection.
