The Columbia, Missouri, report is dated May 10, 1995. The imported abstract gives 2:40 a.m., while NUFORC’s surviving entry and Albert Rosales’s catalogue place it around 3 a.m. NUFORC records a father reporting his son’s sighting of a small humanoid in the backyard, gives a duration of two minutes and notes coverage in the Acteon Journal, a St. Louis UFO newsletter. The record was reported on the same date, although its online posting came later. The fuller circulated account says the boy heard loud beeping, left his bedroom and saw a short figure outside the living-room’s sliding glass door. The imported text emphasizes that he was frightened and unable to move. That emotional description does not establish physical paralysis caused by an external device. There is no reported spacecraft, landing or entry into the home in the surviving short account. Later storyteller Preston Dennett describes the witness as a teenager and the figure as gray and about four feet tall. His compilation includes this exact Columbia case under an “Eyes Like a Fly” heading. The older Rosales summary is much less specific and explicitly supplies no further description. The later presentation should therefore remain identified as a retelling rather than a second independent observation. The illustration keeps the boy safely inside, looking through the glass at an indistinct short gray figure. It avoids adding a craft or an elaborate face unsupported by the available original record. The father’s report, newsletter reference and later compilations preserve the claim, but do not independently establish what was outside the door.
