Case description
A later catalogue account places this incident near Liège at 22:40 on August 24, 1995, identifying the witness as nineteen-year-old Patrick Webel. After his bicycle suffered a puncture, he reportedly took an isolated wooded shortcut home. He felt something brush past him, turned, and saw a brilliant white humanoid shape very close beside him.
The figure allegedly changed from white to green, beginning at the head. Patrick described it as about two metres tall, surrounded by light, with a disproportionately large head and two large eyes. Frightened, he ran home. The account says his parents noticed a burning smell and found his portable cassette player and its battery melted. It does not supply an independent technical examination linking the damage to the encounter.
Patrick subsequently returned with a friend. They reportedly saw manoeuvring red lights, a green humanoid silhouette, and brush disturbed by a strange wind; nightmares followed. These later observations are separate from his initial close encounter. No solid craft or boarding is described. The published summary cites the Godelieve Van Overmeire catalogue through RR0, leaving the precise woodland location and supporting investigation difficult to establish. The plate depicts the first observation without inventing a vehicle.
