Canovanas, Pr being encounter — September 7, 1995

Misael Negrón reportedly watched an unusual creature on his second-floor balcony in Campo Rico, Canóvanas, during the night of September 7, 1995. The account says it remained there for approximately ten minutes, apparently surveying the neighborhood. When the creature noticed him, it looked toward the window and then left. This particular balcony report contains no observed craft, boarding or flight into a vehicle. Negrón described a roughly five-foot figure with dark skin, a rounded head narrowing to a pointed chin, large red eyes and no visible ears. It had a thin neck and arms, three-fingered hands with clawlike tips and strong hind legs. Two projections resembled fangs. A crest along its back allegedly appeared luminous and changed through several colors. These are reported visual impressions, not anatomical findings. Jorge Martín’s Evidencia OVNI issue 8 is cited through Albert Rosales’s catalogue. Later summaries connect the episode with other local creature reports, including a police officer’s dog being attacked, shots being fired and a goat found dead the following day. Those are separate claims and should not be inserted into Negrón’s own viewing sequence. The broader chupacabras interpretation likewise does not establish extraterrestrial origin.
