Huon Valley, Tasm being encounter — February 10, 1996

The Huon Valley report describes two nights involving the same unnamed woman in February 1996. Around two in the morning on February 10, she reportedly awoke to a brightly lit room and a strong urge to go outside. From the veranda she saw an elongated elliptical light in a paddock about fifty meters away, shining blue-white and accompanied by a strong metallic odor. A thin figure more than two meters tall stood in the garden, beckoning with its left hand. She went down the steps, became frightened and retreated indoors. The account says she threw furniture outside before the light disappeared. It describes no boarding or remembered journey away from home. About a week later, the figure allegedly returned amid bright mist, this time without a visible object. It wore a silvery one-piece garment with a waist band, and appeared to have long wraparound eyes and pointed ears. Two shorter, stockier companions moved jerkily nearby; one carried a trowel-like implement directed at the ground. Again she resisted an urge to follow and locked herself inside. The second night’s detailed beings should not be silently merged with the first night’s object; the plate explicitly labels that combination as a composite.
