Case description
According to the retained Hatch UFO*DB entry, four teenagers near Tolimán, in the Mexican state coded JLS for Jalisco, reported an encounter at about 11:30 p.m. on May 16, 1996. A glowing ball, estimated at 16 metres, illuminated a cornfield. Seven small luminous humanoid forms were said to float nearby. The summary gives no witness names or exact property location.
The description does not specify faces, eye shape, skin texture, clothing or a conversation. Its catalogue category should not be used to turn the figures into detailed conventional Greys. Likewise, the word ball describes the object's luminous appearance; it does not establish a metal hull, windows or propulsion system. Although the entry includes ground-trace tags, it supplies no particular mark, measurement, sample result or subsequent inspection to describe.
The stated source is Contacto OVNI magazine, number 23, edited by Germán Flores Trujillo and published by Editorial Mina. A fuller copy of the original case account was not retrieved. Other reports associated with towns named Tolimán cannot be substituted without matching the date and sequence. The plate is explicitly contextual, showing four safely clothed teenage observers, seven indeterminate luminous forms and the bright sphere together, while retaining these documentary limits.
