Santiago, Chl being encounter — February 13, 1997

A message sent by Chilean correspondent Luis Sanchez Perry on 21 February 1997 describes a bedroom encounter in the Gran Avenida/El Llano district of Santiago on 13 February, around 23:30. A mother was trying to sleep with her two young children while her husband worked at night. A noise resembling television static drew her attention toward the television at the end of the room. She reportedly saw a person about 1.55–1.60 metres tall wearing a close-fitting full suit and a helmet whose visor concealed the eyes. A backpack had two hoses running over the shoulders to the helmet. She gathered the children beside her. The visitor reportedly turned its head as she moved but did not approach the family. After taking a few steps and another static-like sound, it appeared to pass through a wall. The witness described an outline remaining there for roughly two minutes. She telephoned her husband and left to stay with her parents. The correspondent said AION investigators were seeking possible evidence; he did not report verified material findings. Later catalogues supply the name Marta Aguilar Montoya and different height estimates, so those additions should remain distinguished from the near-contemporary message. The temporary outline was a reported visual effect, not an authenticated physical trace.
