Case description
A farmer outside Rho, northwest of Milan, reportedly noticed a white object hovering above a field on the morning of March 8, 1998. He called to his wife, who joined him, and the couple said they watched for nearly half an hour. Joseph Trainor's contemporary UFO Roundup described its shape as an upside-down pear, rather than a conventional flat saucer.
About halfway through the observation, a hatch reportedly slid open and a small occupant emerged. The native measurement was approximately sixty to eighty centimetres tall, with two very large black eyes; the roundup's accompanying inch conversion was inconsistent. The figure was said to float beside the object for about ten minutes before returning inside. The vehicle then brightened and rose vertically.
The March 29 roundup attributed the report to La Padania of March 15 and identified CISU investigator Giancarlo D'Alessandro. That establishes a publication trail, not a verified extraterrestrial visitor. A later chronology introduces incompatible afternoon and evening timing, so the Atlas follows the earlier morning account while noting the discrepancy. Faces, clothing and exact hull construction are not supplied by the source and remain interpretive in the plate.
